5Changed my life  Jan 05, 2002 By mixdown04 "Jason W."
I bought this book a few years ago thinking I was going to finally start my recording studio. There was a chapter in the book about promoting your studio using a newsletter. Well, our "newsletter" grew into a 52 page magazine which circulated in 14 countries. Mixdown Magazine was born as a result of this book and I owe it all to Jim Mandell. I was in Los Angeles a while ago and wanted to stop by his studio to thank him, but couldn't find the time. So if you ever read this Jim, THANK YOU!

If you're just starting out in the recording business, you need to look through this book - a very handy reference. It'll bring up points you may not have thought of before.

I am using this book for a school project and find it a good resource.

2Out of Date  Jan 08, 2009 By Craig Sowby
I got this book not realizing it wasn't the latest version and ended up ordering the latest one after I received it. It has good information, but it is pretty out of date. The latest edition however is great and I would recommend it.
