Interesting selection Jul 15, 2011
By Daigoo This is the first book I used after a "beginners" banjo book. I've never heard of half the songs, and as a newcomer to the banjo, the CD accompaniment rarely helps. However, I must say that this "Amazing Grace" score is one of the better ones I've learned so far. I think this book is best used for a a beginning-intermediate level banjo player.
Odd selection of tunes Jul 09, 2010
By D. K. Marshall I have played bluegrass banjo for over 25 years. This is the strangest selection of tunes I have ever seen for bluegrass banjo. Perhaps half a dozen of them are jam session tunes. The rest you will never hear in a jam session. Not at all what I expected from reading the title.
More familiar tunes May 13, 2007
By D. R. Smith For those of us who play or enjoy banjo but not necessarily Bluegrass, this gives a good variety of different songs in different styles. I think "Chopsticks" on the banjo is a hoot!

"John's friend"
This is a good beginner (6 month to 12 months)banjo tune book. It is different and has a cd with it. Can't go wrong for the price.
