From the supplier: The Pacific Symphony Orchestra (PSO) in Orange County, CA, started a fund-raising campaign to raise $5 million in the summer of 1992. California was at that time in the midst of a deep recession, just like most of the US. However, a combination of determination by PSO's supporters, the good artistic reputation of the PSO and some unique opportunities enabled the campaign to surpass its target by raising $5.27 million by Aug. 1993, which was two months ahead of schedule.
