5Best book on songwriting I ever read  Jul 02, 2003
Most songwriting books recycle what other people have already said, but How To Be A Hit Songwriter is original. really lit a fire under me. It's powerful, nurturing, funny straight talk and makes the whole process of writing songs seem so simple. After reading it - twice - I feel I can really DO this now. Can't wait to tell my boss what he can do with his job...

5This book beats all the other "experts" put together.....!  Jul 03, 2003 By J.D. Little
We sent our songs to all the cheap "consultants" in the world for direction with our music career. But this book has been more helpful than all of the "experts" put together. 'Bought four copies - one for each member of my band.

5Entertaining and enlightening  Jul 05, 2011 By Brian K. Miller "Greyhawk"
Molly-Ann Leiken presents an insider's look at the challenging and rapidly changing role of a professional songwriter. When someone with a house full of gold and platinum records sits down and says, "This is how I did it!" the rest of us are blessed to listen and learn.

4Helpful and Informative  Feb 26, 2011 By Mike M.
Read this to help rev up my lyric writing. I did learn things I did not know, and somethings I already had an understanding about. I think it will help me to be a better writer. I gave it 4 stars because a lot of times it seems as if the author is speaking only to female readers. Also, she is a country music writer so although most of her tips apply to all types of music, some do not in my opinion. Overall though, interesting and well written.

5Read this one immediately1!!  Sep 22, 2003 By chuck marsalla
Finally! A book that really helped us! My band and I read all the other books. Went to the seminars. Paid the lawyers. But this book has opened our eyes, sharpened our pencils and got us going. Our songs are 'way stronger, and now we have a major deal on the table.
Put your egos away and listen to this lady. She knows her stuff. This book will change your life and career, too.
