Good for beginner Feb 11, 2010
By Thanik Bhongbhibhat I used to learn from another book. Back then, my problem was the sound quality which got really flat at high notes. By having the play along tracks from this book, I can improve my sound quality by matching the professional player in the tracks. The book organization is good in teaching essential (but not overwhelming) music theory little by little. At the end, I found that I did NOT feel left out with the feeling that "Ok, I know how to play saxophone, but not sure how this sign on the score really means."

By Susana Guerrero Well this book really helped me to practice. I'm beginner, and with this book + cd + dvd, i have improved my skills with alto saxophone.
if i you are reading this, let me tell you something, if i were you, i would buy this book plus book nº2 and Nº3 at one, it is a very good investment.

this book is a crap Jan 23, 2009
By R. Fundora The software that comes with the book in a CD doesn't work, it will crash your computer every time you want to use it, and the book is not good with out the software(I'm a system Engenier in computer). the DVD is just about how to put together the sax. . The Company will never give you a solution abouth the software. Do not wast your money
