An excellent intro Dec 03, 2000 This is a fine introductory harmonica book for beginners of all ages. Nothing fancy, but everything you need to know to get started. The notation is clear and simple, and the format is easy to understand. Diatonic players will get their money's worth on this one: A bargain at twice the price!

Not the "Easiest" at all... Still good Feb 22, 2008
By Alexis Jimenez This book is O.K. I just got a Harmonica and I will admit it did help, although, not as much as i assumed it would. Thankfully I bought about 3 different books this one is my #2. I suggest "Instant Harmonica" by: Patrick Byrne for beginners seriously starts from scratch. This book is really good but I had to practice with the book mentioned above before I could move on to this one. Still a GREAT buy none the less.

Waste of money Nov 08, 2011

"bestla"
The very thin book (20 pages) devotes pages 2-6 to actually teaching you how to hold the harmonica, use tones, block tones and read music. This very simple instruction was all covered in the piece of paper that came with the harmonica we bought previously. The rest of the book is all tab which I'm sure you could find free online.
Oh, and we were also a little annoyed that the price printed on the book is $2.95. This is a used copy and has a copyright date of 1990, but if you use "Look Inside" and scroll to the back cover, you can see that the list price on the newer book is only $4.95. Lame. Will have to try another book and won't even waste money on return shipping for this one.
Excellent resource for beginning harmonica. Jan 18, 2009
By Pickles Kat This was a gift for my grandson, who found the format just right for a beginner with a new harmonica. If you want to pick up the basics and try out the music in the back, this book is perfect.

Harmonica - Inexpensive and Fun Jul 21, 2010
By Sephardi Great harmonica considering I bought it for my two year old son.
I could pay one dollar for a cheap plastic harmonica that requires the lung capacity of a blue whale in order to play it, or I could spend five dollars for this great and rugged harmonica that sounds WAY better and is a great gift for my son. He gets a kick out of it, and loves to play it with Dad.
Buy this one for a kid. When he's older and if he shows potential, then upgrade.
