4Great book, minor defects  Apr 11, 2007 By L. MacMillan
Tab for guitar seems to be near perfect, though at times is written without practicality. A note in a solo or as part of a rhythm riff is played 9 frets up the neck instead of simply playing on a different string, which makes smooth recording quality playing impossible without some minor revisions. Again the actual notes seem to be accurate, which is a must have if you don't like to figure out everything yourself, but in order to play without breaking up sections of the music, some basic music theory or guitar knowledge is still needed here. Can't comment on included bass tabs, I don't own a bass guitar.

One afterthought, some songs such as Overburdened seem to be a little off. There is a rhythm section that is accurate to the notes, but not timing, and even pattern in some cases. I believe that the harmony in the Overburdened solo is inaccurate. One guitar sounds dead on, the other sounds as if someone made something up that would sound good in the harmony, but was not transcribed from the song. And for anyone curious if this book is within their tuning range, most songs are drop-d then down a half step to d-flat a-flat etc... And a few are drop c (drop d down a full step) I would definately recommend this book if you want to play this music, but don't expect perfection.. With tab books, I think it is very hard to find.

Happy jamming

5Guitar tab and bass tab too  Jan 11, 2007 By David DEBRUIN "Hylander"
I was surprised to find that this book included tab for the bass as well as the guitar. Now it's true that the bass lines pretty much mirror the guitar lines but it was still a pleasant surprise.

The tab seems both complete and accurate. The few solos on the album are transcribed in full. The tricky syncopated rhythms during the verses are there too. Hats off to the transcriber.
