no suprises, well satisfied. Apr 11, 2008
By R. Lorenz Does exactly what it says on the tin. If you want to play John Paul Jones' bass lines from III or IV, this is the book for you. Has both notation and tab, so it'll work great for you even if you can't read music. Overall I'm well satisfied and got exactly as much out of this book as expected.

Money Well Spent! Dec 17, 2009
By Sean Patterson
"a guy who cares"
Yes, I used this book to learn 'When The Levee Breaks'. The bass clef music is very accurate. The tablature is tchnically accurate but the fret positions were obviously not chosen by a real bass player. For example some eighth notes go from fret 3 to fret 9 (You can only cover 4 frets with the 4 fingers of your hand). One would have hoped that the publisher cared enough to have the tunes 'beta -tested' by a real musician, but no. However, since every such book I've ever used has the same defect, I'm not faulting the rating for it.
