Great collection, but not a "perfect" resource Feb 10, 2011
By D. Jones
"Thinker, Warrior, Teacher"
This collection of tabs -listing below- is great and has some gems ("Frosty" for example) that I look forward to being able to play someday.
Unfortunately, not every song has chord diagrams to help a beginner like me with the proper voicings. The chord diagrams also help me gauge -at a glance- if I might have the ability to play the song now (rhythm guitar) even if I cannot manage the tabs yet (lead guitar).
I also wish it had recommended strummming patterns.

Blues Guitar White Pages Oct 04, 2010
By Steve I consider myself intermediate as far as guitar playing goes. I like to play the blues and so far this book is the best bang for the buck. I like the range of artists that range from old to new. Good overall one resource book to play the blues.

Great Resource for $20 Aug 25, 2010
By Bobby First, I am classified as a beginner and working hard to learn rapidly. I am now focusing almost entirely on blues - from traditional country blues to newer versions. Tend to more of an accoustic player (finger style) even on electric.
Before buying this book I read all the reviews and most of them are accurate from their perspective. But ... I have had the book for a little over a month now and am not in the least unhappy about spending my $20 on 1000 pages of music.
It is true that there is a lot of stuff that I would not have considered blues (check out the table of contents if this concerns you). There are also a lot of traditional blues that I wish were in the book - but I'll bet the price would be a lot higher :-)
When I first got the book, I could only find a few songs that I could even tackle. So I just started looking for riffs (sections of songs) that I could learn. That is working great. As I learn more the book becomes more valuable with more songes within my reach. Last night even tried a little slide with Brownville Blues - great fun. (The explaination of Tab at the back is very handy - of course you can get this elsewhere).
Would be nice to have the book in PDF so I could print out the songs I am working on, write on it - and not have to lug the book around. As a beginner I really need to find a track to listen to. Youtube is even better - might get a few tips on fingering? I did.
So ... think about why you are considering the book ... with 150 songs, it not hard for me to justify. I'd buy it again with no hesitation.

Blues guitar tab (white pages) Dec 14, 2010
By muh4a I have been looking for this book for a long time, and since i'm a blues fan i really liked it. Besides it has some unique tabs, which you won't be able to find in the internet. To be honest, i bought this whole book, just because of 1 tab, which I couldn't find anywhere. But I checked some of the other songs as well. They are epic! Hope to learn the whole book one day :D
