4101 songwriting tips  Oct 09, 2010 By Mystro
This is a great book for those that are afraid of written music--most all of the suggestions are verbal and easy to understand. I use this book as a text when teaching young song writers, and the tips are to the point and helps keep the young creator focused on what is important.

5Best Book Yet on Songwriting!  Oct 03, 2011 By M. T. Ireland "Reformed Luddite"
I've read about a dozen different books about songwriting, being a fledgling trying to fly in this musical realm. This was the most entertaining to read AND it gave great tips for everything from writing lyrics to the business end of publishing, etc. There were also some excellent exercises to try for the writing process that I found very helpful. Highly recommend this book!

4Different kind of songwriting book  Dec 23, 2008 By Steven Maren "Zee Tracks"
This book assumes that you are already writing songs and suggests ways you can fix things when you get stuck. It's a good idea but I sometimes had trouble finding what I needed. Reading through the chapter headings was useful and then I could read more to find out if it was an idea that could help my song.
